This 4bhk residence was part of a moderately old building of which the client wanted to renovate their two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, entrance area & introduce a guest room. The brief was to make the space look more open, bright, cheerful, and airy and to add freshness which otherwise was very gloomy and looked dull. A polychromatic design theme grew by keeping in mind the design brief as well as the personalities of the client’s family. The shell of the home, in terms of flooring and wall finishes, was kept neutral, however, the furniture and upholstery display a vibrant play of colors and textures paired with fresh plants. The former tv area in the living room was converted into a guest cum study room. It separated with a foldable glass & wood partition that could open out and become unified with the living room making it look visually large in size. The flooring of the guest/study room was custom designed using three different colored cement floor tiles.
